Lucky was taken to the vet for a severely overgrown beak. This is the 2nd time he has had this procedure.
According to the vet, this is fairly common and caused when a bird favors one side only when eating.
Lucky had a complete examination and is very healthy! His beak was trimmed along with his nails & wings. Special thanks goes out to Dr. Chuck and the staff at the Pet Medical Center of Pasco!
Lucky is very happy and is back home in his cage! We will be watching how he eats and hand feed him if need be. We have also placed additional sand perches in his cage to help keep his beak filed!
